Everything’s coming up Lizzo!

The Juice performer has had quite the past few months, blowing up on the radio, online, and in the media. So it totally makes sense MTV asked her to perform at this year’s VMAs!

Like she said live on stage during her ROUSING performance tonight, too, you deserve to feel good as hell!!!

There’s an energy to Lizzo that few artists have been able to duplicate lately, as you can see from the impressive early video clips of her performance tonight! We’re amazed by it!!!!

Ch-ch-check out some of the best from this fast-moving, amazing new artist (below):

And can we talk about that set design? Seriously?! Amazing!! We’re loving everything about this — PERFECT for the VMAs and seriously an iconic performance!!!

The reasons why Lizzo seems to be emerging as a leading talent is her obvious musical abilities AND devotion to fans.

She’s been open and honest about her struggles with fame, even confessing she was sad AF in June. In an Instagram video to followers, the Juice singer confessed:

“I self-love so hard because everything feels like rejection… it feel like the whole world be ghostin me sometimes. Sad af today. But this too shall pass. S/O all the messages of love. Thank you. “I’m depressed and there’s no one I can talk to because there’s nothing anyone can do about it. Life hurts.”

She returned to IG the following day to share her reaction to the overwhelming amount of support — as well as the important lesson she learned in the process — writing:

“I learned in the last 24hrs that being emotionally honest can save your life. Reaching out may be hard but as soon as I did it, I was immediately covered in love.”

The performer went on to explain how the experience changed her entire perspective on the relationship between joy and sadness, noting:

“I used to think of sadness as a constant with fleeting moments of joy in between… but it’s a wave joy sadness joy sadness and my sadness can be as temporary as my joy. I went on live to have a discussion about triggers. My triggers are: rejection and inadequacy. But I love that I’m more emotionally honest lately. I love that I can use my sadness constructively in real time for gratitude.”

We’re so proud of Lizzo and all the success that’s come her way!
