Alyssa Milano is no stranger to stirring up a raucous with her aggressive pro-choice agenda.

After rallying a celebrity crew behind her earlier this year, Milano spearheaded an effort to boycott Georgia for signing its heartbeat bill into law, stripping the state from $10 billion in Hollywood revenue.

She has since been very vocal on social media in an attempt to normalize abortion, and even went as far as to use a Bible verse to justify the heinous procedure.

This week on her Sorry Not Sorry podcast, the former “Charmed” actress again raised eyebrows when she shared her own abortion story.

“If I hadn’t opted for two abortions in 1993 ‘my life would be completely lacking all its great joys’ today,” said Milano. “I would never had been free to be myself — and that’s what this fight is all about: freedom.”

“I was not equipped to be a mother and so I chose to have an abortion,” she explained. “I chose. It was my choice. And it was absolutely the right choice for me.”

She claimed that if it weren’t for her decision to terminate those pregnancies in her 20s, she wouldn’t have married her husband Dave Bugliari or have the daughter and son she gave birth to in 2011 and 2014, respectively.

Understandably, her claim that keeping her babies would have robbed her of all her “great joys” ignited quite the backlash across the web. So much so, that one Southern California pastor decided to start a social media movement in response to it.

Jarrid Wilson, pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship, tweeted a response to Milano saying, “Everyone should post a picture of their kids and use the hashtag #greatjoys.”

In an effort to show that children are truly the source of great joy, contrary to the actress’s belief, Wilson encouraged people to share photos with the kids that have made their lives more full.

The response was overwhelmingly positive, with several parents posting proud pictures with their own “great joys,” young and old.

Some even spoke to the fact that not all of their children were “planned,” but they were no less of a blessing.

“3/4 of these were ‘surprises,’” wrote @backcreekpastor. “We were never ‘ready,’ economically or otherwise, for their arrivals. They are the #greatjoys of my life and I would never, ever trade any one of them for anything this world has to offer.”

“Children are our future, and a blessing from God, not a burden that so many people — specifically people who are only focused on their own achievement and goals — make them out to be,” said Pastor Wilson in an interview with Faithwire.

He explained that while abortion is not “unforgivable,” Milano’s perspective on the subject is “harmful and mentally disturbing.”

Wilson reiterated that he believes one of the biggest myths surrounding having children today is that they are burdens to us.

“I believe our world needs to stop treating them that way,” he said. “Whether she wants to admit it or not, she now has two children in heaven whom she will never experience the joy of parenting.”
