5 Instagram Accounts Meghan Markle & Prince Harry Should Follow! – Perez Hilton

August 7, 2019 Off By WhoThatCelebsRS

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are doing things a little differently with Instagram.

If you’re one of the 9 million plus followers of the ever-growing Sussex Royal account, you may have noticed they’re currently following ZERO people!

That’s because of a new idea in which they keep their follow count super low — but change up who they follow every month!

For August, they’re giving all their followers a chance to promote their favorite accounts. As they wrote in the latest post:

“For the month of August we look to you for help. We want to know who YOUR Force for Change is…. Each month, we change the accounts we follow to highlight various causes, people or organisations doing amazing things for their communities and the world at large.

Over the next few days please add your suggestions into the comments section: someone you look up to, the organisation doing amazing work that we should all be following, an account that inspires you to be and do better (or that simply makes you feel good), or the handle that brims with optimism for a brighter tomorrow.

We will choose 15 accounts and follow them next Monday, as we spend the month of August acknowledging the Forces for Change in all of our lives.”

What a fun idea! If they just followed 200 accounts all the time, none would ever really get much attention.

This is an interesting way to shine a light on some good causes without them having to share the stage with a bunch of naked celebs.

We thought it would be fun to highlight some great IG pages ourselves — and who knows, maybe the Duke and Duchess will actually follow our lead and follow one or two!

So which accounts are we suggesting??

In July, reflecting the record-breaking heat waves hitting the world this Summer, Meghan and Harry focused on the environment; we figured this month they could turn their attention from Mother Earth to the daughters of the world.

Yep, August is all about girl power!

Oh, there’s also a podcast which gets some pretty big guests!

Teachers affect eternity; no one can tell where their influence stops.” ~Henry Brooks Adams. . . . I had the wonderful opportunity to deliver the closing keynote at the @mheducation math & science symposium. I have soooo much respect and appreciation for educators! I can pin point specific moments where excellent teachers made an indelible impression on me—from recognizing and encouraging my leadership abilities to simply reinforcing my confidence in my intellectual prowess. Great teachers help kids tap into their potential and convert it into power. 💫 . . . I can also say that serving as an educator was a transformative experience for me. During my leave of absence from my PhD program at Harvard, I was a middle school teacher in South Central Los Angeles. To this day, that was one of the most challenging jobs I have ever had! But, I’m immensely grateful for that experience because that’s how I discovered my passion for motivating and empowering young people. 💕✊🏽🤓. . . . #Teachers #Educators #Inspire #Motivate #Purpose #Passion #STEM #Diversity #Inclusion

“Learn the rules like a pro, so you can break them like an artist.” ~Pablo Picasso ✨. . . . This is the outfit I wore for the headshots I had taken today (swipe left to see the original collar—yes, I “MacGyvered” this dress by modifying the collar with a belt from a romper with a similar, complementary pattern 🤓😬—I’m quite proud of myself 😂😂). All the generally accepted guidelines for what to wear for headshots advise avoiding prints, obnoxiously bright colors, and high collars (basically all the things I love and have on 😂). Believe it or not, I was really stressing over this initially because it was important for my clothing to reflect me and my personality. Ultimately, I went with my own flow (plus that modified collar had me feeling extra spunky! 💃🏽). I’m recognizing that it is becoming increasingly important for me to remain true to myself even in the simplest things or at the expense of other people’s rules. ✨. . . . #DoYou #BeYou #Rules #PabloPicasso #MacGyver #floraldress #ToThineOwnSelfBeTrue
