The ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ trailer is finally here and I guess I know what I’m doing this summer

Meeting your boyfriend’s parents for the first time is never not awkward. But in Crazy Rich Asians, Rachel (Fresh Off the Boat’s Constance Wu) discovers that it’s way more awkward when your boyfriend (Nick, played by Henry Golding) forgets to tell you that his family is basically royalty.

Based on the Kevin Kwan bestseller of the same title, Crazy Rich Asians follows Rachel as she accompanies Nick to a wedding in Singapore, and finds herself thrust into an opulent world she never knew existed.

With a cast that includes Michelle Yeoh, Gemma Chan, Ken Jeong, and Awkwafina, Crazy Rich Asians represents the first major Hollywood production to feature an all-Asian cast since 1993’s The Joy Luck Club.  Read more…
