Lindsay Lohan Releases Snippet Of Her New Song ‘Xanax’ – Listen Here! – Perez Hilton
August 31, 2019Move over Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift: pop music icon Lindsay Lohan is officially back to reclaim her throne!
That’s right. Despite serving as a judge on The Masked Singer Australia, the actress and singer still found time to record a new track — and fans got a taste of it on Virgin Radio Dubai.
A teaser for the new jam, titled Xanax, made its debut on The Kris Fade Show on Wednesday. As radio host Fade explained, the song is about “about anxiety and pressure and taking care of yourself.” (Eat your heart out, Billie Eilish’s xanny.)

According to the DJ, the full song is “set to be released very, very soon.” But based on the clip, which the host said was taken from the middle of the mid-tempo song, fans are already calling it a bop! A heavily produced, largely autotuned bop — yet one that’ll still get the job done when you’re at the club doing #TheLilo.

It’s no rumor… Pop Lohan has returned!
The 33-year-old first teased she was recording some new music back in June by posting a simple snap of herself in a recording booth. She confirmed the speculation on Twitter shortly after, sharing a report about her recording new material and writing that she was “hard at work.”
The current project she’s working on is LiLo’s first music since her 2008 single, Bossy. Her first album, Speak, was released in 2004 and certified platinum by the RIAA. In 2005, she released her follow-up album — and final album to date — A Little More Personal (Raw).
It’s unclear if a full LP will be released. However, the Mean Girls star does have a bit more time on her hands to focus on this project.
As we reported in June, a Lohan rep told Page Six “she is not doing another season” of her MTV reality show Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club — as she reportedly sold the Mykonos location. An insider close to the production reportedly shared:
“There was a renewal idea that producers hoped would perk it up for a second season. It would be turned into a show about Lindsay and [her mother] Dina and [sister] Ali, [but] that wasn’t going to happen.”
